General ClarificationsA Follower Of Your Choice
If a power says "a follower of your choice", you may choose yourself for the effect.

Using Powers
If a power asks you to perform an action, such as choosing a specific card type and you cannot, you perform as much of the powers effect as you can.
Example: Heimdall, the Watchman says "A follower of your choice loses 5 faith. Look at that follower's hand, choose a realm and reveal it. That realm is forsaken." After you workship Heimdall, making a follower lose 5 faith and looking at their hand, if they do not have a realm to choose, nothing else happens.

Using Powers
Unless a card's power contains the word "may", you must do everything the card says, even if it would somehow be detrimental to you.
